  1. A massive homeless camp in Sacramento has been removed. After months of residential complaints, Caltrans crews and law enforcement cleared out those who were illegally camping at the corner of Howe Avenue and Fair Oaks Blvd.
  2. The Pacific Gas and Electric company in California is off the hook for criminal charges related to the massive Dixie fire and the 2019 Kincade fire. PG&E is cutting a deal with prosecutors for a civil penalty valued at $55 million in lieu of criminal charges.
  3. California public schools are reporting large drops in student enrollment. That's $110,000 students in the last school year alone.
  4. Inflation is soaring higher than economists expected. The numbers out this morning show the consumer price index jumped to 8.5% last month.
