Sacramento County wants to encourage more multi-family homes and duplexes in pockets outside of city limits. County officials are looking to streamline housing approvals and to speed up home building in these areas by easing certain development standards for apartment projects and fostering duplexes in single-family zoning districts.
  2. State prison employees in California will not have to get the Covid-19 vaccine. A federal appeals court is citing that the mandate was not legally justified because it required evidence that the state had been “deliberately indifferent” to health in the prisons, according to The Chronicle.
  3. The end of the winter rainy season is here and California's fate for another year of drought seems to be sealed. The main impact people could see from the storms and runoff, are increased flows and the cold water, so he warns people who may be out hiking that those waterways will be very cold and can be dangerous and deadly.
