Sacramento City Council Measure To Make Outdoor Dining Permanent

Outdoor, or Al Fresco, dining is here to stay in Sacramento. The city council is approving the push to keep outdoor patios and structures by allowing for permanent outdoor dining across the city. Business owners can file for three type of patio options:

  • Tier One Patio: Two tables and up to 8 chairs
  • Tier Two Patio: Enclosed patio on sidewalk and/or parkway
  • Tier Three Patio: Enclosed patio in parking space

A website to help with the transition will be set up by July 1st where owners can customize their patio layout and submit the initial interest form. The trend for outdoor dining start during the height of pandemic lock downs.
