First Spare The Air Alert Issued For Sacramento, Here's What It Means....

Sacramento's first Spare the Air alert was issued for today because of triple digit temperatures this week and smoky conditions. The alert means air quality will hit unhealthy levels for sensitive groups due to high pressure from the heat. Another contributing factor for the region is the wildfire smoke filling the valley from the Placer County Oak Fire and the Six Rivers Complex fires burning nearby. Officials said ozone pollutants will have an index of 129, compared to a 115 yesterday.
