  2. Hot weather is returning to Northern California this week. Temperatures are expected to peak by Friday through the weekend, with triple digit heat possible in the Sacramento region.   3. The state's budget deadline is looming, with the deadline fast approaching. But negotiations have reportedly stalled over a controversial water project. KCRA reports the hold-up is over the Delta Conveyance project, which would reroute water from the Sacramento River south, bypassing the San Joaquin Delta. Click here to read more.
  4. Santa Cruz is now the most expensive county for rent in the United States. The National Low Income Housing Coalition reports that a two-bedroom rental in the county goes for on average more than $3,200 dollars where residents will need to make at least $63 an hour to afford rent.
