  1. Placer County Sheriffs have recaptured the suspect in the Roseville park shooting after he escaped from Sutter Roseville Sunday morning. Eric Abril broke out of custody while seeking treatment for an unknown condition and prompted a two day long manhunt before he was found hiding in a creek bed in Rocklin. Click here to read more.
  2. This weekend's temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees, with some places predicted to reach 113. The National Weather Service says the Sacramento Valley will see a spike in heat by Thursday and it will continue through the weekend. Click here to read more.
  3. Over 40,000 people are gathering in Sacramento in coming days to attend the Jehovah's Witness Convention at the Safe Credit Union Convention Center. This is one of the largest conventions held in Sacramento and is making it's return for the first time in 4 years.
