- A California woman has been identified as the first tourist who fell victim to the deadly wildfires on Maui. 72-year-old Theresa Cook of Sacramento was staying at a hotel in Lahaina and was supposed to fly home a day after the fire started. Click here to read more.

- Northern California hero is being remembered with a street named in her honor. 23-year-old Sergeant Nicole Gee was a native of Roseville and a graduate of Oakmont High School.
