  2. Professors from University of California campuses are pushing back on a plan to teach a "viewpoint neutral" history of the Middle East. More than 150 professors sent a letter Tuesday to U.C.   4. Cal Trans is closing some mountain roads in the high Sierras this week ahead of a large storm. Both lanes for Highway 108 are closed from the Tuolumne/Mono County Line to the intersection of Route 395. Along with both lanes for Highway 89 near South Lake Tahoe from the Mono Alpine County Line to Route 395.
