"Nothing has changed" between pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, despite her recent absence from his games, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday (October 1).
“They’re spending as much time together as possible while balancing their careers and individual responsibilities — his game and her music empire, along with personal projects,” the source said.
Swift, 34, who's attended the majority of the Chiefs' games that haven't conflicted with her touring schedule since she started dating Kelce, 34, last year, has missed the team's last two road games in Atlanta and Los Angeles, which led to speculation about the couple's status, though the source claimed they're ignoring it.
“They’re choosing not to dwell on the noise, focusing instead on staying true to themselves and being happy,” the source told Us Weekly. “They simply shrug off the stories. They see it as just another example of the press lifting someone up only to tear them down.”
Swift has reportedly been busy preparing for the relaunch of her Eras Tour, which is set to continue in Miami on October 18, sources with knowledge of the situation told Page Six. Additionally, there are reportedly "security concerns" for Swift, one of music's biggest stars, to attend the Chiefs' road games.
“She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance,” an insider said.
The undefeated Chiefs will host the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday (October 7) night.
