The National Association of Women Business Owners, California (NAWBO-CA) is excited to announce the Propel 2024 Conference, taking place at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento, CA, from April 29th to 30th, 2024. Themed "Elevate, Transform, Advocate," this two-day event aims to inspire and empower women business owners and emerging leaders through education, networking, and advocacy.

Conference highlights for 2024 include:

·     Keynote speaker: Olympian Chaunté Lowe, offering inspiration from her athletic and personal journey.

·     Esteemed guests include Tara Lynn Gray Director of the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), NAWBO National, CEO, Jen Earle and incoming National Chair, Dr. Janis Shinkawa, Medical Director and Partner of Ohana Pet Hospital and National Board Member Amber Wallace.

·     New venue: Enhancing the event experience with a fresh location.

·     Black-tie awards ceremony: Celebrating NAWBO-CA’s 2024 Woman Business Owner of The Year Carefully planned agenda: Designed to engage and inspire attendees, showcasing the conference's commitment to excellence.

·     Advocacy Day at the Capitol: An opportunity for participants to engage in advocacy efforts, making their voices heard in a meaningful setting.

·     Accessible to ALL. This year we appointed Amy Graves to be our first-ever Accessibility Director.

NAWBO California focuses on empowering, educating, and supporting women entrepreneurs through advocacy, mentorship, and educational initiatives. It aims to build a diverse leadership pipeline for corporate boards and the entrepreneurial community. Since 2010, the NAWBO-CA Education Fund has been expanding these opportunities, preparing women for business and governance success.

The conference will feature powerful speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and opportunities for attendees to engage directly with local legislators. The event also includes the Woman Business of the Year Award's ceremony, celebrating outstanding contributions of women entrepreneurs.
