The Pentagon Is Sending Troops To California Vaccination Sites

The Pentagon will be deploying more than a thousand troops to five vaccination centers nationwide. Two of the five new military teams will be going to vaccination centers opening in California. Coronavirus senior adviser Andy Slavitt said troops will arrive at those centers in a little over a week. Each of the military teams includes 222 personnel, including 80 people who will administer vaccines, as well as nurses and other support staff. The teams would be able to administer about six-thousand shots a day.
