Nothing I've posted in recent memory has caused so many people to "Like" and "Share". Matt Dippel is a photographer from Michigan. He was visiting Yosemite on October 6th and caught this moment on Taft point. He is now looking for the couple so he can present them with a print.
So many of us are willing to share the shocking, the tragic and the salacious. Luckily we will also share the inspiring...particularly when it's a photo that so beautifully captures what for many of us is a precious moment we can relate to.
My engagement story wasn't on a cliff top but in a kitchen 25 years ago when fresh from the gym my 23-year-old boyfriend made me dinner and then worked up the nerve to ask me to marry him. We celebrate 24 years this weekend and this picture made me smile today with every share. I hope Matt finds them because this pic should be hanging somewhere in their home.
