It started as a tiny weed on a traffic island in Toledo, Ohio. Over the months it grew to over four feet. Then the weed caught the eye of someone wanting to spread a little holiday cheer and it was suddenly covered in tinsel and garland. Someone else added glass ornaments and lights and still others started putting wrapped gifts, blankets and canned food under the weed. The city has now installed containers for all of the donations, which are going to local charities. The weed now has its own marketing. T-Shirts and viral videos are keeping everyone up to date on whats up with the weed.
