Some schools have started to use robots to help teach social and communication skills to kids on the spectrum. A robot named Milo can help develop those skills by interacting with kids who have autism.He's designed to be interesting and approachable for learners with ASD. We spoke to an administrator for a school in Texas that helped pilot "Milo" and assisted the technical team with adjustments to his programming. Milo is not a cheap option at approximately $12,000 and another $3700 in annual software upgrades but educators say their students are responding well to Milo's lessons.
