Next month the 33rd annual Burning Man Festival will bring 70 thousand people to the Black Rock desert in Nevada to build a city of art and self expression on the playa. For some its a one time bucket-list item, for others its annual trek. Burning man is most known for the large wooden man that is burned each year at the conclusion of the event but another structure that has come to mean as much to those who attend is the temple. It has a new design and theme each year. This year its called, "Temple of Direction" The Japanese-themed design has large gates called Torris. The architect of this year's temple is Geordie Van Der Bosch.
Our KFBK Morning News segment is with Patrick Dworak, one of the lead builders on the Temple of Direction. The pictures of the build are courtesy of Shelly Lange Photography.
