Companies may be losing Gen X workers who feel passed over for promotion. Born between the mid 1960's and the mid 1980's, the Gen X promotion rate has consistently been 20-30% lower than millennials. The latest edition of "Talent" cites two reasons: baby boomers staying on the job longer and millennials eager to make up for lost time due to the economic crisis. Gen X is naturalized not native to the digital environment which HR experts say means they can be a bridge between traditional leadership and technical skill.
