Patients in hospitals across the country are combating a mysterious pulmonary injuries/illness linked to e-cigarettes. Vaping products have until recently been mostly unregulated and federal and state investigators are frantically trying to trace the outbreaks to specific products. As of last Thursday, 193 illnesses from 22 states have been linked to vaping. Wisconsin was the first state to report to the Centers for Disease control when 16 confirmed and 15 suspected cases of lung injury/disease were diagnosed. Illinois has reported one death and 34 injuries/illnesses related to vaping or vaping products.
A county in California is now alerting the public to vaping illnesses traced to unlicensed cannabis oil products. Below is our KFBK morning show segment on the vaping injuries/illnesses out of Kings County.
