A mom from Folsom says her son's vaping habit has landed him in a coma in the hospital. Christy D'Ambrosio said on her page, "This is my son Ricky. He is 21 years old, loves his dog, loves to hike with his friends, and unfortunately, he vaped. As a result, he is now in acute respiratory failure."
The cause of Ricky's lung problems is still being investigated, but D'Ambrosio says she believes her son's sickness is because of his vaping habit. He has been receiving steroids for 24 hours, and doctors say that seems to be helping but antibiotics for the infection have been ineffective. Christy D'Ambrosio's Facebook post with a picture of Ricky in his hospital bed and a warning against vaping has been shared over 3 thousand times.
