The process of getting a named national day includes picking the day and the designation, then raising the needed funds (usually about $1000) to have the national day archives staff research your topic. If its approved you get a certificate and the satisfaction of a recognized day to celebrate your profession, activity or item. Below is our conversation with Krista.
