James Suckling is internationally regarded as one of the most influential wine critics and wine communicators. Through 40 years and over 200,000 wines, Suckling has created a stunning body of information about the wines of the world. Suckling joined Wine Spectator in 1981, when it had 500 subscribers and was run out of a garage in San Diego. He fell in love with the genre and rose to become the European Chief Editor for the publication. From his home in Hong Kong, Suckling joined me for a chat about his incredible life and ongoing projects. We talk about his MasterClass and he reveals new trends in the wine industry as well as the surprising wine he's enjoying right now.
