UC Davis Health has a very special place in my heart. I gave birth to both of my daughters at UC Davis Health, and we received wonderful care and support from all of the doctors, nurses, and staff! I have also worked with UC Davis Children’s Hospital throughout the years on efforts to improve outcomes and comfort for families and patients. I am lucky, my girls did not need any special care, but that is not true for many families. For families who need specialized pediatric care, they can rely on UC Davis Health.
UC Davis Children’s Hospital is the Sacramento region’s only nationally ranked, comprehensive children’s hospital, serving infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with primary, subspecialty and critical care. It also includes the Central Valley’s only level I pediatric trauma center, which offers the highest level of care for critically ill children, as well as a level I children's surgery center. UC Davis Children’s Hospital also provides care for 33 counties, with 2,640 transfers accepted from referring institutions.
In addition, the Neonatal ICU live cam allows families to connect with their children while hospitalized. This shows the level of compassion UC Davis Health physicians and staff provide to their patients and families.
When people ask me why I talk about UC Davis Health, it’s because I’ve both experienced the fantastic level of care and I’ve watched so many families be helped over the years. It really is a special place that offers hope and healing.
