Johnny Depp: Sorry For "assassinated a president" Comment

Johnny Depp has apologized for a comment he made wen he asked a crowd " when was the last time an actor assassinated a president?“ People magazine first reported on the apology. The actor said "It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,”

Depp has been taking some heat for his remark at Britain's Glastonbury Festival.  24/7 News reported a video posted online shows the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star talking to a crowd about President Trump when he asked "when was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"  The comment got cheers from the audience, prompting Depp to say that he's not an actor, but someone who just lies for a living.  President Abraham Lincoln was of course assassinated by theater actor John Wilkes Booth in 1865
