Lake Tahoe-A First Time Adventure

My family and I recently spent a couple of days up at Lake Tahoe. It was our first time there, and I have to say, the weather was perfect. Cool at night, low 70s during the day, and the fall colors were amazing.

Then there was the water. I've seen a lot of those "Keep Lake Tahoe Blue" bumper stickers over the years, but never really "got it," until I saw the lake for myself. The colors in the water were unreal, and when we headed down to the beach, the water itself crystal clear.

We also decided to stay at an Airbnb for the first time, and the kids loved the place. Our host, Michelle, was incredible. Anything we asked for or wanted, she responded with in minutes. We're already planning a trip back. Oh, she also recommended where we buy the best carne adada...and it was AMAZING!! In fact, it may have been my favorite part of the trip. Now, you're probably going to ask me where we got it, and what the name of the store is? Well, I'm not going to tell you. Some things in Tahoe are best kept secret...and this is one of them! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy some of the pix I snapped while we were up there! @dmitchinson
