I've been putting this off for ten years (maybe longer), but the time has come for me to have a colonoscopy. Trust me, I'm not looking forward to it, but now that I'm married, my wife says I owe it to my family (and she's right).
My sister had colon cancer twice several years ago. Since it runs in the family, there's a greater chance I can get it at an earlier age. So, starting today, I'm on an all liquid diet. I haven't been allowed to eat nuts or seeds all week (too much info??), and tomorrow I'll be off air, and going in for the procedure.
Now, I know it's not a big deal, and a lot of people have had one, but honestly, I'm not looking forward to it, even though I know it's the right thing to do.
I'll let you know how it goes, and might even post some pictures if they find anything interesting (let's hope they don't).
