Sweater 'Blackface' Backlash

Gucci is apologizing and has removed a wool turtleneck sweater from its catalog after it came under fire on social media for resembling blackface.

The sweater features a long collar that covers the lower half of a person's face with a red mouth slit.

On twiter, the company wrote it meant no offense by its garment, and

is fully committed to increasing diversity throughout our organization and turning this incident into a powerful learning moment for the Gucci team."
