On Saturday, the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op will host its 45th Anniversary Celebration from 10 a.m. -5 p.m. at the Co-Op store in Midtown. Festivities include Front Street Animal Shelter pet adoption, kids activities, farmers, fruit and veggies and a Harvest Happy Hour.
The 5th Annual Walk 4 Literacy and Festival to help Sacramento's kids with reading is happening tomorrow. It's put together by the Sacramento Public Library, Sac State, and The Impact Foundry. The groups say only two out of five children can read at grade level. The walk starts at McClatchy Park at 9 a.m. and wraps up at Cesar Chavez Park.
Pumpkin Nights is bringing it's interactive Halloween experience back to Auburn. Taking place at the Gold County Fairgrounds, journey into the world of Pumpkin Nights with over 3-thousand hand-carved pumpkins, dazzling Halloween displays and eight Pumpkin Lands. The outdoor, family friendly Halloween event is open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
