Earlier this week, State Senator Janet Nguyen of Garden Grove was silenced on the senate floor while speaking out against late state Sen. Tom Hayden for his leadership role in the anti-Vietnam War movement of the 1960s. Senator Nguyen was born in Vietnam, and fled as a child. She was removed from the floor when she refused to stop speaking.
