POLL: Expansion of "Ban the Box" on Job Applications

Sacramento Assemblyman Kevin McCarty has proposed expanding "ban the box" legislation from only public employers to include private businesses as well. The ban would keep employers from inquiring about a potential employee's criminal history on an initial application.
