POLL: CA Bill Would Eliminate Bail System

A bill in the California Senate, SB 10, would effectively eliminate the bail system for people accused of crimes. 

Proponents of the bill say that the current system punishes people who cannot afford bail, and forces them to sit in prison while awaiting trial. Opponents say that it would lead to more people fleeing rather than showing up to their court date.
