Sheriff's deputies were faced with many protesters today as they cleared a homeless camp in South Sacramento. Sheriff deputies posted notices on tents on Sunday letting people know that the camp would be cleared on Wednesday.
At first, protesters tried to block deputies from entering the encampment, while holding signs displaying their displeasure with the clearing of the homeless encampment. The area has plans for a mixed-used housing and retail.
