John McGinness is highlighting a local event on Saturday August 8th, 2026 from 9am - 3pm for the El Dorado County Sheriff's CCW awareness event. It's a free event at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. This event will have guest speakers that include Sheriff Leikauf, representative from EDSO to explain the CCW process, USCCA representative, possible survivor story and more. There will be numerous local vendors with raffles and giveaways along with local CCW instructors on site to answer questions on the process. The main events will be held inside with some activiations outside. This is a family friendly event with a kids area and fun photo opportunities. Come check it out!
