It is because of partnerships like yours that community and families in need can not only be helped, but also be given a measure of hope.

Over the years, Sacramento Helping Hands has provided services including:

Organize teams of young volunteers who have delivered the local newspaper for over 15 years.

Tutor students with homework during after school hours at no cost to parents.

Youth mentoring: Job training and shadowing for youth.  Office, computer, TV production, video editing, electrical work, retail sales, phone etiquette, hospitality, restaurant and more.

Teach teens, adults, single parents and families financial literacy through no-cost budget counseling & accountability programs.

Assist local families with moving to a new home, including cleaning, packing, moving, unpacking.

Set up and supply volunteers for community events that support local businesses.

Develop and organize annual community clean-up program, donating shovels and rakes and teams of volunteers to eliminate the trash and overgrowth of weeds, including an on-going graffiti abatement program.

Partner with Home Depot & the North Sacramento News to do quick groom makeovers to inspire residents.

Host the "Adopt -a- Family" program providing holiday gifts, clothes & meals to those who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it, with the goal of these families being in a position to “Adopt” their own family in the future.

Errands for the Elders: Clearing gutters, replacing light bulbs and additional minor home repairs, travel to and from doctor appointments and grocery store.

When many programs are being cut by local and educational system budgets, The Sacramento Helping Hands Foundation provides practical support to make a connection with those who, with encouragement and a sense of community, will soon make a difference in their own neighborhood. Join our cause. Donate now at www.sachelpinghands.org  Thank you again - your help and dedication is truly priceless.

Our Mission is to GIVE BIG. Bridge the gap

…  to enrich the lives of the children and youth in our community by helping them improve self-image, self-confidence and a sense of community and respect for those around them.
