Local gamer, cosplayer, and Twitch streamer Emma Skies held a 12 hour charity stream for the Sacramento SPCA on Saturday in honor of her dog Milly's birthday. Her original goal was $5000, but she ended up raising over $12,000 in those 12 hours.
This is her third year in a row hosting the charity stream and each year she has surpassed her goal. Her first year she hoped to raise $500 and raised over $1000. Last year, she hoped to raise $1000 and raised $3000.
These funds will make a huge difference for the Sacramento SPCA, especially because many of our fundraisers have been postponed or cancelled during the stay-at-home mandates.
