Nero is a 16 year old and 77 pound Boxer mix who is looking for his forever home. This "sugar snout" may be the oldest dog in the shelter, but he certainly doesn't act like it! Nero still has quite the pep in his step and enjoys short/slow walks with our volunteers. He is looking for a loving home that can make his last chapter the best one! Nero has lived with other dogs before, but they should be a similar energy level (young bouncy puppies might be a bit too much for this senior guy!).

At 9:00 am each morning a link will go live on the SPCA website where you can schedule an appointment to come down to the shelter that day to meet an available animal. Animals pictured on this page may be adopted prior to your appointment time. Shelter staff will let you know when you arrive what animals are still available to be adopted and any special considerations the animal might have. Once you have finished a counsel and a meet-and-greet, you will be able to adopt! Only one animal may be met with per family, per day.
