Coco is a 5 year old and 86 pound Dobie who is looking for her forever home. She can be shy at first, but likes gentle pets especially when she gets to know you. When Coco is really happy, she does an entire body wag which is the cutest! She had a Femoral Head and Neck Osteotomy here at the shelter and is currently rocking pajamas (instead of a cone), and will need some exercises to help her joints heal. Our staff can help show you how to do them so she heals well. Coco has lived with another Dobie in the past and may do well with other dogs. She has never lived with cats or children, but might do well with a proper introduction.

At 9:00 am each morning a link will go live on the SPCA website where you can schedule an appointment to come down to the shelter that day to meet an available animal. Animals pictured on this page may be adopted prior to your appointment time. Shelter staff will let you know when you arrive what animals are still available to be adopted and any special considerations the animal might have. Once you have finished a counsel and a meet-and-greet, you will be able to adopt! Only one animal may be met with per family, per day.
