Say hello to the big man on campus! Kenai is an almost 9 year old and 191 pound Malamute who is looking for his forever home. He is a pretty easy going guy that is just looking for a soft place and loving home to relax in. He does need help losing some weight and we have started him on that healthy lifestyle path! He is also hypothyroid and will need daily medication for the rest of his life. He has lived with other dogs and done well and we think he may do well with older kids to help keep him active!

Adoption Process: At 9:00 am each morning a link will go live at sspca.org/dogs above where you can schedule an appointment to come down to the shelter that day to meet an available animal. Animals pictured on this page may be adopted prior to your appointment time. Shelter staff will let you know when you arrive what animals are still available to be adopted and any special considerations the animal might have. Only one animal may be met with per family, per day. Once you have finished a counsel and a meet-and-greet, you will be able to adopt!
