Aloha! Ruthie is a 2-year-old, 45lb dog looking for her forever home. She was one of four dogs transferred to the Sacramento SPCA from Maui following their tragic fire. Ruthie was already in the shelter in Maui when the fires occurred, she was transferred to the Sacramento SPCA to make space for displaced animals looking to be reunited with their families.
Ruthie spent some time in a foster home in Maui, her foster parents say: "Her favorite toys are frisbee, balls and anything for tug-of-war. She loves car rides, playing fetch, snuggling and she is very easygoing, just a happy and sweet girl who is full of love. She is housebroken, knows sit and catch and is working on paw and wait. She loves food, she loves her people and got along with my dog, cat and chicken. We just adored her, she responds to ‘good girl' and has so much unconditional love. We will miss her!"
