Five Large Fires Burn in Northern California

Five fires are burning all over Northern California this morning. Dozens of homes were destroyed in a 20,000-acre brush fire burning out of control in Santa Rosa. Smoke was so thick in San Francisco that buildings were being evacuated. The National Weather Service said widespread wind gusts between 35 mph and 50 mph were being felt in San Francisco area with some spots hitting 70 mph. 

Yuba, Butte and Nevada counties are also going through many issues with as much as 8,000 homes being threatened in Nevada County. 

The Lobo Fire near Rough and Ready has burned 500 acres so far. Residents are estimating nearly 50 structures/homes have been destroyed near the Loma Rica area.
