It's not over until it's over, but Sacramento faces new hurdles as we learned this morning, for landing MLS expansion.
First, it was revealed that the combined costs of the MLS expansion fee and the downtown stadium plan have risen by nearly $150 million.
Second, Meg Whitman and her husband are out as investors. So, lining up a big investor or two is obviously huge, in limited time. It seems unlikely, but not impossible.
Major League Soccer will make their decision for expansion between Cincinnati, Detroit, and Sacramento at the first part of 2018.
