Sophie the yellow lab spent 5 days in freezing temperatures before reuniting with her family in Woodstock, Maine.
After the 13-year-old dog went missing on January 5th, her owner, Albert Silver posted on Facebook urging the community to keep an eye out for his beloved pet.
Silver's post was shared more than 2,400 times while he and his family searched for Sophie.
On January 9, his pleas were answered when someone spotted the dog in the snow and rescued her using a snowplow.
Sophie is now home with her loved ones, and while she lost 5 pounds on her snowy excursion, vets say she is perfectly healthy.
