The Sacramento Kings are now accepting nominations for the annual Pete Saco Awards.
Named after the retired commissioner of the California Interscholastic Federation's Sac-Joaquin Section, the trio of awards honors high-school athletic teams, coaches and student-athletes for sportsmanship and service. The fourth annual tradition includes the "Scholarship Award" - a $1,985 scholarship based on athletic performance, community service and academic success. There’s also the Lifetime Achievement Award" given to a coach or administrator who left a positive, inspiring and impactful mark on high school sports. You can also nominate a high-school team for the "Community Impact Award."
