President Donald Trump criticized Governor Jerry Brown this morning on Twitter for rejecting National Guard border duties. Trump tweeted that the "high crime rate will only get higher," because of it.
Trump wanted the National Guard to help with immigration enforcement on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Gov. Brown's press office response on Twitter..."Nothing has changed since CA submitted its proposed agreement to the Feds for review - & you thanked us - last week. CA Guard still ready to supplement its ongoing work to combat transnat’l crime. Worth another look."
Also, you can see comments from Jerry Brown, below.
Looks like Jerry Brown and California are not looking for safety and security along their very porous Border. He cannot come to terms for the National Guard to patrol and protect the Border. The high crime rate will only get higher. Much wanted Wall in San Diego already started!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 17, 2018
