Officials are warning river-lovers to beware the lower portions of the American River.
Tests recently done by the California State Water Resources Control Board show high levels of E. coli are still present in parts of Tiscornia Beach, Discovery Park, Sutter’s Landing and Steelhead Creek.
The public is asked to research where they're going before hitting the water.
