Mountain Biker Airlifted From Tahoe Trail After Crash

A 60-year-old mountain biker had to be rescued by CHP after crashing near Tahoma on Saturday afternoon.

The biker was on the General Creek Trail in when he crashed and broke several bones.

Fire Department personnel made their way to the scene and began treating the man, but had to call in a CHP helicopter to transport him out of the remote area.

The helicopter hoisted the biker from the trail and took him to Lake Tahoe Airport where an ambulance was waiting to take him to a hospital.
