Carr Fire Continues To Grow-Winds A Concern Today

Fires continue to burn all over Northern California, which includes the Carr Fire, which is still only at 5% containment as of Sunday Morning. 

The fire is now at nearly 90,000 acres as yesterday it burned away from Redding, on the western edge of the city. 

Shasta County Sheriff's Department listed these areas that are under mandatory evacuation orders. 

Shasta County Sheriff’s office are for:

  • The town of Lewiston and the adjacent area north to the Trinity Lake dam.
  • North of Platina Road west of the town of Ono.
  • Highway 299 west to Douglas City
