The man accused of being an ISIS member is being held in Sacramento County Jail without bail.

A federal judge is holding 45-year-old Omar Abdulsattar Ameen because with the current evidence, he feels Ameen may be a flight risk and danger to society.

Ameen is also accused of shooting an Iraqi police officer in Al Anbar Governorate when ISIS took over the Rawah District.

He was arrested in a Sacramento apartment building on Wednesday.

Documents show Ameen had come to the U.S. on a visa and was seeking refugee status.

A federal extradition hearing has been scheduled for September 5.
