NorCal OSH Stores To Close By End Of Year

All Orchard Supply Hardware stores in Northern California will be closed by the end of 2018, including locations in Elk Grove, Woodland and Antelope.

Founded by a group of farmers in San Jose in 1931, the chain was purchased by Lowe's in 2013.

A total of 99 stores across California, Oregon and Florida will close by February 1, the Lowe's announced on Wednesday.

OSH reportedly wasn't performing well and wasn't a big part of Lowe's overall business plan moving forward.

Sales will likely start on Thursday.

Employees were given the option to continue working until stores closed at which time they'd have employment priority at Lowe's.
