Firefighters Make Progress On Delta Fire

Full containment of the Delta Fire is expected this weekend.

The fire north of Redding is at 60,277 acres today, with containment  up to 81%.

17 homes have been lost. All mandatory evacuations have been lifted, though some roads are only open to residents.

The Pacific Crest trail and most campgrounds and boat ramps in the area are open.

Investigators say the wildfire is "human-caused," but they have not given specifics.
