The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that took place at the Harbor Boulevard on-ramp in West Sacramento early Thursday morning.
Authorities say the incident happened just before 5:30 a.m. when a semi truck hit a pedestrian near Harbor Boulevard and West Capitol Avenue.
The truck driver didn't notice they had hit a person until they reached the Highway 50 on-ramp.
Authorities have identified the pedestrian as a man in his 60s. They believe he was in the road when the collision happened.
The on-ramp has been closed since.
