An Elk Grove man saved three people from a burning vehicle on Sunday morning, according to police.
A truck carrying three people caught on fire around 5:30 a.m. while traveling east on Laguna Boulevard.
The driver lost control and hit a tree.
The sound of the collision got the attention Jeff Garrett who was inside his nearby home at the time.
When he went to investigate the noise, he saw the truck in flames and rushed to the vehicle, pulling all three occupants to safety.
All three people were transported to a local hospital for treatment. One suffered life-threatening injuries.
The crash temporary shut down parts of Laguna Boulevard.
There is no word on how the people are doing since the incident.
